I. Organizational Context
The Data Analyst is under the general supervision of the FAO Jakarta OfficeRepresentative in Indonesia and will work in close liaison with the International Epidemiologist, the Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist, and Senior TechnicalAdviser Poultry Production & Health and other key staff.
The Data Analyst will support the project management team to extract, collateand analyze appropriate data from various databases to provide informationrelevant to the management and development of the disease control program, andwill report to CTA Disease Control.

Duties andResponsibilities

II.Functions / Key Results Expected
Summary of key functions:
Extract, collate and analyze categorical, ordinal and nominal data collected byanimal health surveillance and control staff which represents the responsesobtained from questionnaires applied in an ongoing avian influenza surveillance and control program.
The data is held in several Microsoft Accessdatabases.
Summarize in a user-friendly format the results of analysis to allow diseasecontrol program managers to draw conclusions and make recommendations aboutprogress and future directions of the disease control program.
Identify strengths and limitations of the data, including redundancies andunsatisfactory data.
In consultation with CTA Disease Control recommend regular report formats toassist in the ongoing management of the project related to control of HPAI andother diseases.

RequiredSkills and Experience

V.Recruitment
QualificationsEducation:Bachelors degree
Experience:Minimum of 3 years experiences in the same field
Experiences in the use of Microsoft Access
Experiences in the use of statistical packages in the analysis of field data, including the graphical representation of data Experiencesin analyzing questionnaire survey data.
Ability toprepare summary reports.

Language Requirements: Excellent written and spoken of English and Bahasa Indonesia
