Program Officer – Education (POEDU) - Jakarta

CWS Indonesia is an international non-governmental organizationworking in relief, development, and refugee assistance in various locations in Indonesia. CWS is searching for a Program Officer Education for our Jakarta office or Cipayung. Program Officer – Education (POEDU)

The Program Officer position is required to assistthe implementation Protecting Urban Refugee Project (PURE) in Jakarta. The Program Officer should report tothe Team Leader for all types of reporting and communication concerning theproject. The position also requirescoordination/ communication with local counterparts and CWS Accounting andAdministration Staff. It also requires managerial, administration anddocumentation skills needed to improve and strengthen the work of localpartners. Travel for monitoring isrequired. An ability to be flexible in working with local counterparts and aspart of a “team” is essential. A good understanding of development and socialissues within the Indonesian context is highly desirable.

Specific requirements:
- Having degree inSocial Subject.
- Minimal 2 years experiencesin similar position
- An extensiveskill in writing, reporting, and documenting is essential.
- Able to work as ateam and independently
- Ability to work withcommunity and local government
- Having an understanding ofdiscrimination and its effects.
- Possessingcomputer skills, including internet communication/ research and various office applications (Microsoft Words, Excel and Power Point)
- Having theability to work in a team and harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment
- Willing to travelto project site and to be based on project site (Cipayung, WestJava)
- Speak and write English and Bahasa Indonesia is a must
- Should have theability to interact and communicate with wide range of stakeholder (local NGO,local government and beneficiaries)
- Able to workindependently with minimum supervision and to handle multi tasking jobs
- Having experiencein working with INGO or international environment is beneficial
- Willing to work extra hours and travel tothe beneficiaries’ locations as needed
